|
The
BRIDGE project is implemented by a multicultural team of young professionals
(less than 32 years old) from the International Bureau of Education (IBE).
The BRIDGE team is contributing to IBE's framework programme 'The Adaptation
of Educational Content to the Challenges of the XXIst Century'.
|
|
The first
phase of the project consists of preparing three different products
to be presented at the International Conference on Education, 2001:
a mini-website, video clips and a photo exposition (see
slide 3 )
|
|
A preliminary
research of 'good practices' in education related to the 6 themes of
the workshops of the ICE (citizenship, social cohesion, values and cultural
diversity, languages, sciences and new technologies) has enabled us
to choose the subjects for the presentation. Four criteria were used
to finalize the choices. The projects chosen had :
1) to be closely related to contents of one or some of the 6 themes
of the ICE
2) to be original/ innovative
3) to have been evaluated by an external organization (with exception)
4) to be easily replicable and transferable to another country or region.
You will find here projects undertaken by the governments of the countries
concerned, as well as by non governmental institutions, international
or intergovernmental organizations, and even by particular groups (parents,
communities, teachers, children, etc.)
|
|
These experiences,
presented with the help of three medias, will be presented at the ICE
in a kiosk under the BRIDGE project name. Moreover, a video projection
will introduce each workshop topic and plenary in order to provoke discussion
and debate among participants at the ICE.
|
|
After the
ICE (phase 2 of the BRIDGE project, see
slide 5), the work of the group will be used to higher the
plate-forme/observatory of the IBE. Also, it will serve as the constitution
of a bank of experiences and of video material that can be used in the
co production of a television program.
