On the
occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights, the UN has conceived a Human Rights Module as one of its
CyberSchoolBus global program of on-line learning teaching.
|
|
 |
|
This program
is partly in English, and partly in French and Spanish, and it is divided
into two parts for the participating schools. On the one hand, the CyberSchoolBus
has prepared an interactive Declaration of Human Rights as didactic
material based on the Web. This device is neatly made for discussion
subjects and activities about each of the thirty articles of the Declaration.
On the other hand, it has developed "The Human Rights in action", as
a complementary component of the first one developed in this program.
Its aim is, among others, to create a world atlas containing all the
actions that schoolchildren had conceived in the area of Human Rights.
Thus, it will allow the students to exchange experiences in this domain.
|
|
 |
|
The
global aims of this program and of the CyberSchoolBus is that
of sensitizing schoolchildren about the UN actions and ideals and motivate
them, in diverse ways, to carry out actions for those ideals at their
level. Besides, by allowing the students to exchange experiences and
ideas concerning Human Rights, the program appears as an educational
content and a philosophy of life.
