Collections

Originating in the International Library on Education which was started with the creation of the IBE in 1925, the collection includes historical materials on school systems as well as educational ideas and movements of the first part of the 20th century.

There are over 100,000 books and documents in the collection, and over 100 current journal titles.

 

The IBE archives (1925-1968) are housed in the Documentation Centre and may be consulted by appointment.

 

The Documentation Centre continues to build a comprehensive collection of syllabuses and other curriculum-related materials worldwide.

 

 

National Reports

The series of National Reports on the Development of Education submitted by countries from the earliest sessions of the International Conference on Education are available at the IBE, and are currently being digitised to maximise accessibility.

 

This is a unique collection which has been exploited over decades in a wide range of studies and trend analyses by researchers and scholars worldwide.
