- The International Association of Universities (IAU), a UNESCO-affiliated organization, makes available its Database on Higher Education Systems, which includes short descriptions of higher education systems in over 180 countries worldwide. (In English)
- The Deutschen Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung (DIPF) [German Institute of International Pedagogical Research] provides access to an Internet guide on education systems worldwide. (In German and English)
- The Information Network on Education in Europe (EURYDICE) provides online access to its Eurybase, The Community database on education, containing comprehensive and updated descriptions of education systems in European Union Member States. On-line publications are also available. (In English and several other languages)
- The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) makes available thematic overviews and analyses of Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems in 27 European countries. Descriptions of education, vocational training and adult education systems in Europe are also accessible through the Eurydice website. (In English and several other languages)
- The Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (OEI) [Ibero-American States Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization] gives access to comprehensive descriptions of education systems in Ibero-American States. (In Spanish)
- The TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) 2007 Encyclopedia describes the national contexts for teaching and learning in mathematics and science education in the countries that participated in TIMSS 2007. (In English)
