Regional Focal Points are highly prestigious institutions, represented by specialists in curriculum. They are responsible for designing, managing and following up activities and projects in each defined region within the COP framework. All activities are being agreed upon between the IBE and the regional Focal Points.

Through the Focal Points we currently cover the following regions:

Africa:

• Sub-Saharan Africa

Asia:

• China
• South, South-eastern Asia and the Pacific

Arab States:

• Arab States (general)
• Gulf Arab States (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the Yemen)

Europe:

• Eastern and South-eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine)
• Commonwealth of Independent States - CIS (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Latvia)
• Nordic European Region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden)

Latin America and the Caribbean:

• Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil)
