Meeting of the Working group on Evaluating Educational Reforms
(9-11 October 2000, Madrid, Spain)

IBE's Mediterranean Network has set up working groups to examine fields of common interest: the theme of evaluating education reforms was one of these. The seminar took place with the support of the INCE (National Institute for Quality and Evaluation), which prior to the seminar and in connection with its theme, carried out a survey in six countries of the region. The participants decided to prepare reference frameworks on the situation concerning the evaluation of reforms in the region and on the various tools used for that purspose (indicators, methods, etc.) and to carry out jointly a provisional evaluation of science teaching in primary edcuation with a view to imporving such teaching.

A final report of the meeting was published by INCE :

Jornadas sobre Implementación de Sistemas de Evaluación para Apoyar/Acompañar los Cambios en Educación, Madrid, 2000. Evaluación de reformas.
