IBE Curriculum collection - now online

The IBE Documentation Centre is making its international collection of curriculum-related materials available online in the hope that it will be a very important resource for curriculum specialists. The new interface will make searching easier and faster than before, and will give access to full-text documents (PDF).

The collection consists of pre-primary, primary and secondary school curricula (including curriculum frameworks) and syllabi from over 80 countries worldwide. Some 100 curriculum frameworks, and a number of teacher education curricula are included. At present, the collection has approximately 1,000 full-text documents online, and the IBE is continuing to add more on an on-going basis. Ministries of education and curriculum development agencies are invited to send copies of their curricula to the IBE for inclusion in the collection.

This new collection is the result of a multi-year project, and reflects the IBE’s specialization as a Centre of Excellence in Curriculum. It involved working with officials from ministries of education and curriculum departments and centres. The IBE team is also particularly grateful to colleagues at UNESCO’s library in Paris for their valuable support in the design of the Curriculum collection interface.
