Prospects is UNESCO’s quarterly review of comparative education. This issue, entitled “Poverty Alleviation and Inclusive Education: Transforming Schools in Sub Saharan Africa",  presents the main results of four years of work conducted by UNESCO-IBE in nine African countries. This issue offers a road map for action and good practices for transforming education. Furthermore, it tackles local curriculum in Mozambique, bilingual education in Burkina Faso, priority education zones in Mauritius, a remedial programme for out of school children in Rwanda and teacher training colleges in Angola.
