Education ministers from 125 countries have sent personal messages supporting the International Conference on Education (ICE) to be held in Geneva at the end of November. Education Ministers from Algeria to Zimbabwe have written including details of the efforts being made in their countries to widen access to education.
The ICE, to be held on November 25-28, is a major international forum for education policy dialogue among Ministers of Education, researchers, practitioners, representatives of intergovernmental organizations and civil society.
The conference aims to enrich the debate about inclusive education, examine the role of governments in putting in place relevant policy, draw attention to education systems that offer opportunities for life-long learning and emphasize the role teachers play in meeting the diverse needs of learners.
