A recent UNESCO publication highlights the GigaPan project as a good practice of ESD. The “Second Collection of Good Practices: Education for Sustainable Development” compiled by UNESCO’s Associated School Network (ASPnet), targets coordinators and teachers and presents a variety of successful school-based projects, activities and approaches contributing to ESD. These good practices emanate from ASPnet’s 8,500 Associated Schools in 178 countries. The publication was launched during the World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development – Moving into the Second Half of the United Nations Decade (Bonn, 31 March to 2 April 2009).
