IBE collaboration with the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE)

In the framework of its agreement with INEE to support quality education in emergencies, the IBE is hosting and co-organising two important INEE events:  

1.  An expert meeting on Guidance Notes for Quality Teaching and Learning in Emergencies (17 October 2009); and
2. A second expert meeting on revising the Minimum Standards for Education in Emergencies, Chronic Crisis and Early Reconstruction (19-21 October 2009).

  The two meetings will contribute to improving the draft versions of the documents mentioned above in view of their finalisation in the near future. Given its expertise in curriculum development in post-conflict settings, the IBE was requested to contribute to the conceptualisation of the "Guidance Notes" and to the drafting of the "Curriculum" chapter.
