Latin America Diploma kicks off with successful intensive session

The third edition of the Latin America Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development has just concluded its initial face-to-face session in Montevideo, Uruguay. During this intensive two-week stage, participants prepared for the course by exploring the IBE Training Tools for Curriculum Development and the ten learning modules.
This year’s cohort consists of forty-one participants, including thirty-four females, representing seven countries in the region: Bolivia, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay. From this diverse group, 97% of participants evaluated the two-week session as having enhanced their knowledge about the competencies required to work on curriculum issues; 95% learned new work and facilitation strategies; 100% feel more comfortable and confident to use ideas and strategies on curriculum issues; and 92% understand more clearly the steps and processes of developing curriculum proposals.
The course will now begin its online phase for 30 weeks with distance activities until summer 2013. During this phase, participants work through online forums, readings, and writing assignments with guidance and support from tutors. Page:
