The IBE’s electronic catalogue, IBEDOCs, containing some 23,000 bibliographic records has been upgraded! The new format will make retrieving items from the catalogue easier and faster than before.
The introduction of the Basic Search box facilitates quick retrieval, and this is complemented by the Advanced Search facility which allows more in-depth searching. This new version of IBEDOCs is the result of a two-year project that was initiated in October 2007. It involved working with library colleagues in UNESCO Headquarters, to migrate the earlier CDS ISIS version of IBEDOCs to UNESDOC using Livelink. Much preparatory work had to be done in advance to maximize compatibility and make the migration as smooth as possible. The online catalogue includes titles acquired since 1979, as well as all IBE publications from 1927 to the present, with links to the full text where available. The catalogue also includes references to the collection of archived periodicals.
