Beirut, Lebanon – 25 to 27 August, 2008 Preparatory Conference for the 48th session of the International Conference on Education (25-28 November 2008, Geneva) This Regional Seminar, entitled “Quality Education for All: No Exclusion and No Marginalization”, will open with discussions on “Regional Perspective on EFA: Quality and Inclusive Education” and “Global Perspective and new trends on Inclusive Education”, and follow with plenary sessions on the following topics: 1) Inclusive Education: Government and public policies issues and challenges
2) Inclusive Education: Teacher, learner and learning environment
3) Inclusive Education: System, links, and transitions
4) Inclusive Education: Partnership This conference will take place over three days and includes keynote speeches, regional and international expert presentations, and debriefing of parallel discussions with representatives from the Ministries of Education of the Arab Region on Inclusive Education. The conference is jointly organized by the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut and the UNESCO Lebanese National Commission, and supported by UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education (IBE) and UNESCO’s Education Sector (ED/BAS).
