Signing of the IBE-HBMSU partnership for the Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development

This new partnership is of great significance as it provides  decision and policy-makers, educators and faculty members in the Arab States with an opportunity to enhance their competencies in curriculum design and implementation in order to offer innovative, high-quality education that addresses the fast-emerging changes of the 21st century. 

A tutors’ orientation workshop was organized in Dubai, from 5 to 6 March 2016, on the eve of the International Innovation Arabia 9 Conference- during which the Postgraduate Diploma proposal was officially announced and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNESCO and the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University was signed. 

The Diploma course is planned to be launched in  October 2016. The Diploma is a capacity development initiative launched by UNESCO in 2010 under the IBE’s capacity development programme. So far ten editions of the course have been successfully implemented, in Sub-Saharan Africa (Tanzania) and Latin America and the Caribbean (Uruguay).
