Sixth Workshop of the CIS Community of Practice in Curriculum Development

Minsk, Belarus, 24-25 November 2010 What are the current regional challenges, priorities and practices in terms of curriculum development in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region? How could IBE’s Training Tools for Curriculum Development (TTCD) provide assistance? The Workshop aims to identify, discuss and analyze the region’s challenges, priorities and practices in terms of curriculum development around the themes of teacher development and education for sustainable development. It also aims to share and customize the Training Tools for Curriculum Development: A Resource Pack (TTCD) to the CIS region, with a view to implementing a long-term strategy of curriculum capacity building.
 
The CIS Community of Practice (COP) is a regionally supported network of educational policy-makers, researchers, curriculum developers and teachers. The CIS Council on Cooperation in Education, key national representatives from Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and Tajikistan as well as the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office will also be participating.  The IBE is co-organizing this workshop with the Minsk City Institute for Education Development, while taking advantage of a long history of collaboration with the CIS COP.
