Strengthening curriculum design and development capacities in Latin America



Montevideo, Uruguay, 15-26 August 2011
The IBE continues to promote training and capacity development in the field of curriculum as a contribution to the achievement of quality Education for All.
The second session of the accredited post-graduate Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development will be organized at the Catholic University of Uruguay in Montevideo from 15 to 26 August 2011.
The Diploma consists of ten modules jointly developed by UNESCO-IBE, the Catholic University of Uruguay, and the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO-OREALC). The activities are based on the UNESCO-IBE “Training Tools for Curriculum Development: A Resource Pack”. For this new session, the Diploma will feature additional resources including an anthology reader of curriculum-related articles and handouts on curricular debates, Policy dialogue and education reforms, inclusive education, the role of teachers and the role of assessment.
