We have come a long way since our foundation in 1925. Our progress, development, and success would not have been possible without you. We would like to thank you all for having made these years so wonderfully rich and meaningful. We recognize and appreciate your contributions. From highest policymaking levels to innovative practitioners and specialists in education: all of you have walked hand in hand with us along this challenging road to improve the quality and relevance of the curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment.
We look forward to the next 90 years as the quest continues to address the unwavering universal challenges of equity and quality in education. Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the IBE – together with its partners – will continue providing a wide range of services and products in the field of curriculum, learning, teaching, and assessment. In doing so, the IBE will address critical issues that are highly relevant at local, regional, and global levels, working especially with those who are most vulnerable and at risk.
To celebrate our progress and to honor our 90th anniversary we are organizing an exhibition at the Palais des Nations in Geneva which has been made possible thanks to the support of the Institutional Memory Section (United Nations Office at Geneva Library).
We would like to kindly invite you to visit us at the Museum of League of Nations, discover the history and milestones of the IBE through images, texts and a floating timeline that reflect our successes, challenges and the way ahead. Or else share your thoughts, birthday wishes and messages on our
Facebook page and on
Twitter using the hashtag
#IBE90th.
