Hoa Binh, Viet Nam, 26-28 May 2010 Following the 2009 work on analysing primary textbooks from gender perspective, more than 25 Vietnamese curriculum experts and teacher trainers gathered in Hoa Binh from 26 to 28 May 2010 to explore modalities of integrating gender equality issues in teacher training courses. The three-day workshop was conducted by UNESCO-IBE in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and UNESCO Hanoi Office, the coordinator of UNESCO’s participation in the UN Joint Programme for Viet Nam on gender equality. Follow-up activities include the development of several teacher training modules focusing on gender equality to be pilot tested in September 2010. For more information, see:
