Laurent Pauli

Laurent Pauli received his doctorate in Mathematics from Poly de Zurich. He wrote a program called “modern math.” With this new program and new pedagogy, Pauli elaborated a course on psycho-pedagogy of math which he initially professes at the teacher training school in Neuchâtel. This work caught the attention of Jean Piaget who was delighted that this pedagogy took into account his psychological and epistemological constructivism. Piaget invited Pauli to Geneva to become the co-director of the International Bureau of Education. In 1968, Laurent Pauli assumed the role of IBE Director.
