Seminars

In March 2005, the IBE organized a seminar at Stanford University (USA), bringing together researchers and high-level experts working in the comparative study of the school curriculum. The meeting was convened in order to discuss the draft chapters of an IBE publication (forthcoming) focusing on the curriculum of primary and secondary education across the world. In April 2003 an international meeting on "Curriculum-making Processes and Products" was held at the IBE in Geneva in order to discuss a long-term research agenda on curriculum issues. During this seminar, several researchers in the field of international comparative education shared the results of various studies, in particular related to the issue of instructional time.

 

 

In May 2002, an international seminar was organized at the IBE in Geneva on "The Organization and Classification of School-Based Learning Experiences." A number of high-level academic experts in the field of comparative education participated in this meeting.
