Studies and working papers
Over the years IBE has been carrying out an extensive work of collection and systematization of information about education systems and curricula worldwide. The resulting databases are rich sources of information that allow for in-depth analyses of patterns and trends related to the content of curricula.
These studies are carried out for a variety of purposes relevant to the mission of IBE, for example:
- To provide contributions to the UNESCO EFA Global Monitoring Report.
- To support IBE activities in the field, such as the ABEGS project on curricular time, carried out in collaboration with the Gulf Arab States Educational Research Center (GASERC).
- To further disseminate findings through Prospects and other publications such as: Developing key competencies in education: some lessons from international and national experience (Rychen, Dominique Simone; Tiana, Alejandro, 2004), one of IBE’s Studies in comparative education.
