Cecilia Braslavsky, Director of the IBE, was invited to participate to the organisation of a special Workshop on Educational Reforms in Secondary Education and Evaluation of the existing Curricula for Secondary Education in Lima, Peru, 19-23 January 2002. This mission was requested by the Ministry of Education, in the framework of the activities of the section of secondary education. A meeting to discuss this mission was first held in Paris in October 2001 between the Minister, the ViceMinister and the Second Secretary of the Permanent Delegation in Paris. Fifty specialists from the Department of Secondary Education and from the Department of Teacher Education participated to the seminar. The major issues discussed were:
Mrs Braslavsky presented IBE documents on Secondary Education, especially the publications of the Seminars held in Buenos Aires (1999) and Maldonado (2000) and some experiences selected from the Bridge and Innodata Databases.
