Education will be co-hosted from the15-17th November, 2009, by the UNESCO
Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Education, National Commission of the People’s
Republic of

The article "Ladders of
Success: Keeping teacher pay on schedule," written by Chad Aldemar can now
be found on the Education Sector web site. When Barack Obama proposed to change
the remuneration of teachers to a system based on effectiveness and
performance, the criticism was immediate and harsh. This article explores
measuring the effectiveness of a teacher, as well as if the productivity of
teachers can be reflected in their wages.

The 10th publication of 'Trends in Focus' themed
"Recent initiatives on job training in general secondary education,"
by the Education, Employment and Social Insertion of Latin America Network
(RedEtis) is now available to view and download.

Del 15
al 17 de noviembre de 2009 se celebrará la 13ª Conferencia Internacional del Programa de Innovación Educativa para el Desarrollo en Asia y el
Pacífico (APEID) de la UNESCO Bangkok. Esta conferencia será un
foro para debatir y compartir experiencias sobre el impacto de Tecnologías de
la información y las comunicaciones (TICs) y su efecto transformador en la
Educación. Esta actividad es organizada de manera conjunta por la Oficina
regional de Asia y el Pacífico de la UNESCO, la Comisión Nacional para la
UNESCO de la República Popular China, el Banco Mundial y el Servicio de
informaciones sobre educación e investigación de Corea. Los organizadores hacen
un llamado para el envío de artículos en torno de las TICs y su utilización en
el campo educativo antes del 1 de agosto del 2009, e invitan a aprovechar de
una reducción en el costo de inscripción, registrándose antes del 31 de agosto

para el éxito: pago a tiempo a los maestros” ("Ladders of Success: Keeping teacher pay on schedule"),
escrito por Chad Aldeman, puede ser consultado ahora en el sitio web de la institución

Obama propuso cambiar el modo de remuneración del profesorado de un esquema
