Throughout 2023, UNESCO-IBE held more than 50 workshops and trained over 600 ministry executives in 18 countries worldwide. Successfully completing the training in the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of curricula is awarded with a UNESCO-IBE certified attestation.

The intense months of November and December saw closing workshops in DR Congo, Burundi, the Republic of Congo, and Burkina Faso. The gatherings were also a perfect opportunity to discuss the lessons learned and key takeaways that are critical for the future of national education.

The training courses aim to build national executives' capacity to equip ministries in charge of education with a critical mass of professionals capable of contributing effectively to the transformation of education.

The training is delivered in three phases, namely: phase (i) a face-to-face training launch workshop; phase (ii) distance learning; and phase (iii) a face-to-face assessment, evaluation, and closing workshop, lasting around six months.

Since 2022, UNESCO-IBE has conducted more than 50 workshops and trained more than 600 ministerial leaders in 18 countries around the world - Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo Brazzaville, Côte d'Ivoire, DR Congo, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Palestine, Lao PDR, Malaysia, PDR Korea.

Project activities will continue into 2024.
